Above all, we are proud of our renown, born and raised in Kohala, Hawaiian musicians and graceful authentic dancers, masters of hula, both modern and ancient. You won't want to leave town without hearing the
music of renown John Keawe,

virtuoso of the slack key. Perhaps as he performs while you delight in a sumptuous weekend dinner at our famous Bamboo Restaurant.
Take home one of his CDs along with favorite singer and story teller Uncle
Kindy Sproat who's entertained at the Grand old Opry and Carnegie Hall; You can also own the harmonies of the talented Lim family whom you can hear at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on Tuesday nights. The Lim Halau won the coveted Merry Monarch Hawaiian Dance Festival last year. This is genuine tradition! Kohala no ka oe. (The best)
Art is in the air
North Kohala has become a center for fine arts, jewelry and woodworking with excellent galleries and eclectic boutiques. You can find special gifts and collectibles in our unique shops, in Hawi and Kapaau, and even visit with outstanding artists and artisans. North Kohala has art in the air. Aloha and Mahalo
Bobbi..
My ohana and
I would like to say that even though we spent a few hours there at
your place, mostly sleeping, we all felt the warmth and Aloha that
your wonderful piece of paradise had to offer. I slept so well
upstairs in the king bed of the Sundeck room and everyone else felt
the same way. We had a great reunion with Nick and Ipo and all the
ohana. My uncle and aunt from Hilo stopped by Sunday right before
we left and looked the place over and was overwhelmed by it’s beauty
and charm. My brothers and I topped off our weekend stay with a
small ping-pong tournament which we also enjoy dearly.
So on behalf
of my ohana and I, would like to extend a great big Mahalo for the
opportunity to share your little piece of paradise. We will
definitely refer others and look forward to our next visit to
beautiful Kohala.
Mahalo,
MARK S. CAMPOS
